Delete your account in the app
- Open OttoTrail and sign in.
- Go to Settings and tap your account at the top.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted, then confirm.
Deleting needs an internet connection. If you’re offline, OttoTrail says so and nothing is deleted.
Your account is deleted straight away and you’re signed out. This can’t be undone. If you sign in again later with the same Google account, you start a new, empty account.
Or ask us by email
If you can’t use the app, for example because you no longer have your phone, you can ask us to delete your account.
- Email malik@ashternext.com from the Google email address you use to sign in to OttoTrail.
- Use the subject “Delete my OttoTrail account”.
- We’ll confirm that we got your request.
- We’ll delete your account within 30 days and email you when it’s done.
- If you write from a different address, we’ll need to check that the account is yours first.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in: the link between OttoTrail and your Google account.
- Your profile: your name, email address and profile photo address.
- Your cars, with their VIN, registration number and details, and the adapters you paired.
- Every reading: charge, odometer, battery health, temperatures, cell voltages and where each was taken.
- Your trips, charges, saved places and tariffs, and battery notes.
- Your charging invoices and the details read from them, and the photos and files you attached in Analyze.
- Your Analyze chats and the record of the requests they made.
- Your settings.
- The copy of your account on the phone you delete it from.
What isn’t deleted
- Adapter recordings. If you turned on recording, the files stay on your phone until you delete them in the app, clear OttoTrail’s storage or uninstall it. They were never uploaded.
- Copies on other phones. Another phone that was signed in keeps its copy until you sign out there or uninstall OttoTrail.
- Backups. Deleted data can stay in our hosting provider’s backups for a short time until they roll over. We never restore deleted accounts from them.
- Files you shared. Anything you sent to someone else from the app stays with them.
Other choices
- Sign out in Settings removes the account’s copy from this phone but keeps your backup, so you can sign in again later.
- Turn off Bluetooth or location for OttoTrail at any time in your phone’s settings.
- The privacy policy explains what OttoTrail stores and why.
